Our Story
Who We Are
For more than three decades, North East Trees has worked alongside communities across Los Angeles to create greener, healthier, and more resilient neighborhoods. As a community-rooted, place-based organization, we partner with residents to design, build, plant, and care for parks, urban forests, and nature-based infrastructure in neighborhoods where access to shade, green space, and tree canopy has long been limited.
Mission
At North East Trees, our mission is to foster environmental equity and community resilience by transforming urban landscapes. We believe that everyone deserves access to green spaces and trees that enrich their lives and improve their neighborhoods. Our initiatives aim to empower local residents to take part in green projects that enhance public spaces and promote environmental stewardship.
Our commitment to community engagement is at the heart of everything we do. Through collaborative efforts, we aim to restore natural habitats, promote biodiversity, and ensure that all communities can enjoy the benefits of trees and green infrastructure. Join us in our mission to cultivate a greener future for all.
